Hi im completely new to the spread betting world. But currently im trading as a player on the tradindex.com website. i went long on the FTSE 100 - daily and im up £58 but what i really need to know is how do i convert that into money!? help meeeee!! im sure i have to go short but i do believe it may go higher but. how do i bank the cash!?

thanks for the help

Go short for the same amount ie. if long at £1 per point then short at £1 per point. This will close the open position.

you bank the cash by going short the exact amount you went long.

eg if you went long at £2 per point, you would then short the FTSE 100 at £2 a point and you would be all square, banking your profit.

if you still think it is going higher, then you could, in this example, short it at £1 per point. thus banking half of your profit, and letting the other £1 a point run on for a bit.

hope this helps.

there should be a help or Frequently Asked Questions section on the tradindex site. (im not overly familiar with it)

hope this helps.
